Tom Horn important sites
The location of Tom Horn’s so-called confession is on the second floor of the Wyoming Home furniture store in downtown Cheyenne, 210 West Lincolnway, in a room featuring a bay window. The room was the U.S. marshal’s office in 1901, and may now be seen on request. The store is open during regular business hours.
Another site linked to Tom Horn in Cheyenne is an exhibit of historic photos and other items on the second floor in the old Laramie County building, 310 West 19th St. This building was built in 1919 to replace the building, including the jail, where Horn was hanged. The building is open weekdays, and the exhibit is across the hall from the district attorney’s office.
Willie Nickell and his parents are buried in Cheyenne’s Lakeview Cemetery on Seymour Avenue. The location of the Nickell murder is on a privately owned cattle ranch and is not accessible by the public.
