Meeteetse Museums

The Meeteetse Museums, at 1947 State Street in Meeteetse, Wyoming, are three museums in one. The Charles Belden Museum of Western Photography, in the Sayles building built between 1916 and 1919, features a collection of photographs by the great Charles Belden of the Pitchfork Ranch. The Bank Museum, in the restored 1901 bank nearby, offers exhibits of vintage office furniture, the bank vault and safes, an early telephone switchboard, dictaphones and photographs. The Meeteetse Museum, behind the Belden Museum, immerses visitors in local history, with exhibits on the Black-Footed Ferret; the Meeteetse Mercantile; a National Forest cabin and the Grand Slam of North American Sheep.

The Museums are open spring, summer and fall, and the summer is packed with activities. For more information visit the website linked above, call 307-888-2423 or email info@meeteetsemuseums.org.
