Grattan Fight Monument
To visit the historical marker pinpointing the site of the August 19, 1854 Grattan Fight, when Brevet 2nd Lieutenant John Grattan, an interpreter and 29 enlisted men were wiped out by Brule, Minniconjou and Oglala Lakota Indians, drive west from Lingle, Wyo. about 3.7 miles on Wyoming 157. The marker stands on the north side of the paved road near the intersection with Goshen County Road 25.
