Black 14 sites on the University of Wyoming campus
With funding from the Associated Students and the Multicultural Center of the Universtiy of Wyoming, a statue honoring the Black 14 was sculpted in bronze by Guadalupe Barajas of Cheyenne and was dedicated at the Wyoming Union in 2002. The statue and a nearby statue of Martin Luther King are located located across from the coffee bar in the first floor main hall of the Union.
Memorial Fieldhouse, immediately west of War Memorial Stadium, was the University of Wyoming's basketball arena and the headquarters for the Athletics Department in 1969. The football office was on the second floor on the east side of the Fieldhouse and the upper bleachers where Coach Lloyd Eaton dismissed the 14 black players can be accessed from a ramp opposite the second floor offices on the east side of the Fieldhouse.
The President's Office and Trustees' Board Room on the second floor of Old Main still today look much like they did on October 17-18, 1969.
