Julie Francis

Dr. Julie Francis retired in 2017 after 39 years of service with the Office of the Wyoming State Archaeologist and the Wyoming Department of Transportation. George Frison was her advisor during her undergraduate and graduate education and throughout her career. She continues research and write, focusing on American Indian rock art in Wyoming.

Over a long career Frison won the affection and respect of students and colleagues; his many awards included election to the National Academy of Sciences.
